We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to anyone other the insurance carrier you applied with. We maintain Physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal and state regulations to protect your personal information.

COLLECTING INFORMATION
NBS collects nonpublic personal and health information about our clients in order to conduct business, such as to process requests for insurance products, to provide customer service, to assist in processing claims, and for other lawful purposes. We collect this information directly from you.

SHARING INFORMATION
NBS treats the personal information we have collected about you in a confidential manner at all times. We do not disclose nonpublic personal information about our clients or further clients to anyone except as permitted by law.

We share your personal information with your insurance carrier directly in order to process or service your insurance transactions with us, perform underwriting administrative, account maintenance and claims functions provide customer service or reinsurance coverage: protect against fraud, or perform other business functions on your behalf. Insurance Carriers receiving personal customer information from NBS are required to keep it confidential and to comply with all applicable federal and state privacy laws.

Information about your insurability will remain confidential. Our insurers, may, however, make a brief report of this to the Medical Information Bureau (MIB). Upon receipt of a request from you, the Bureau will...disclosure of any information it may have in your file (in most states medical information will be disclosed only to your attending physician). If you question the accuracy of information in the Bureau's file you may contact the Bureau and seek a correction in according with the procedures set forth in the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.
